Now I might need to be corrected on this cause on most of my viewings and research of Gundam SEED over the years its never been made exactly clear to me on whether PS armor is a metal an armor system or some combination of the two, I always generally figured that the Gundam's were made out of mostly the same material as everything else either Titanium Alloy or the Foam Metal that Orb uses and then used an Phase Shift Armor field to nullify physical weaponry.Īlso that's all it really does is nullify physical weaponry, I think without getting into After Colonies absolutely more crazy durability feats such as tanking the Twin Buster Rifle, Multiple Buster Rifle level Beam Cannons and the like is just this comparison of what a beam saber does to PS vs Gundanium Alloy.
Overall while the DRAGOONS might add enough versatility to say the SF is the more versatile suit most of its arsenal is still mostly outdone by a single general purpose gun. The Freedom and Strike Freedom's strongest weapons are attached to its body in a way that forces it to face you in order to fire it also at least seems to have to come to mostly a dead stop to use full burst with only one instance I can think of were the Strike Freedom used just the rifles and rail cannons while strafing a smidge. Wing Zero has a variable output on the Twin Buster Rifle making it as strong or as weak as he needs it and allowing both to move while firing and fire from angles. On the subject of the versatility of the weapons the Freedom definitely has more weapons but even all of them combined are mostly inferior to the Wing and Wing Zero's 1 main gun. This extends to the shared weapons like the Beam Sabers, since After Colony has the far stronger metal with Gundanium they can build their weapons out of that material and crank them up to 11, its best exemplified in that the Gundam Deathscythe's Beam Scythe works underwater while the Strike Gundam's antiship sword cannot. Meanwhile extensive use of the Meteor Unit + the Eternal to deal enough damage to sink Space Fortress Messiah by forcing it to crash into the moon, didnt really break it up that much in all honesty just kind of damaged it to the point that it crashed. Wing & Wing Zero have the stronger offence with the Drei Zwerg Buster and the Twin Buster Rifle both being stronger then the Hi-Mat Full Burst from the Strike Freedom, the Twin Buster Rifle being so exponentially stronger its like comparing an assault rifle to a nuclear bomb being able to obliterate a space colony 13 miles wide with minimal charge time But a radically one sided one Kira gets absolutely decimated I'll start with the machines.
